Show Pine Yaliey Mrs. E. S. Beckstrom j Reporter Bishop and Mrs. Arthur K. Hafen and family returned to their home in St. George on Monday after spending their vacation here. Miss Adelia Hall left here Monday Mon-day for Salt Lake City where she has employment. Orson Hall was a business visitor in St. George during the latter part of the week. Mrs. Hall returned home with him after spending the past several weeks there during the illness of her mother, Mrs. Philena Pickett. Mrs. Rodney Snow and daughters, daugh-ters, Dorothy and Rowena, and son, Rodney J. of Santa Monica, Calif., returned to their home on Monday after visiting a few days at the home of the children's grandmother, Mrs. Effie Snow. Miss Linna Snow accompanied them to California where she will spend a short time with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Virginia Lockett of Long Beach. Mrs. Marion Bentley and daughter, Ella of St. George spent last week here while the latter was on her vacation. Levi Snow returned Monday from Los Angeles where he had been to market a truck load of cattle. Miss Gena Higbee of St. George is a guest of Miss Cherril Snow. Mr. and Mrs. F. Clayton Nelson Nel-son of Washington, D. C. returned to St. George on Friday after spending the week at the home of Mrs. Nelson's sister, Mrs. Clawson Burgess. Mrs. Burgess and two children accompanied them to St. George where they remained until Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Judd. Mr. and Mrs. William Snow' and son of Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Snow and family of St. George spent Sunday here at the home of their brother, Levi Snow. Glenn E. Snow returned Sunday Sun-day from Berkeley, Calif., where he attended summer school. He was accompanied by Mrs. Lucile Pitchforth and son, Herbert, who had also attended school there. E. S. Gardner and N. R. .Frei returned Saturday from Salt Lake City where they had been to attend at-tend a meeting of the big game commissioners. Marion Beckstrom returned on Sunday from California where he has been employed for the past four months. Professor and Mrs. E. M. Jensen Jen-sen of Provo returned to their home on Thursday after spending several days here with her father, Reuben Gardner and other relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Penrose and daughters, Margery and Jean of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McQuarrie of Detroit have spent the past week visiting in Grass Valley as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mason Rencher. Roy Williams and Mrs. Anne R. Price of St. George spent Sunday with them. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Malchus have moved into their new home. Hogarth Jacobson left Tuesday for Caliente where he has employment. employ-ment. His grandmother, Mrs. Agnes Barton, accompanied him. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sullivan of St. George spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Beckstrom. Miss Mary Jenson of Ephriam, who has spent the summer in Oakland, Calif., under the care of her uncle, Dr. Clarence Gardner, Gard-ner, returned here with Glenn Snow on Sunday. She will re main here some time with her grandfather, grand-father, Reuben Gardner and other relatives. ' Mr. and Mrs. Newell R. Frei are spending a few days at their home in St. George, from the canyon here where he is acting as caretaker for the summer. Ranger J. H. Baldwin and daughters, Beverley and Beth spent Saturday in St. George on business. |
