Show ' 1 Successful Hurricane Peach Day Promised HURRICANE, Utah The Peach Day Committee, headed by Mayor Gene Wadsworth, are working on plans for a successful Peach Day celebration, searching all available avail-able books on entertainment for ways and means of providing plenty of fun for all. Paul Wilson, busy coaching his baseball team, believes they will put out a fast game, while Ivan Stanworth and George Stevens report their games and sports as being unique. Mayor Wadsworth, cooperating with the fruit exhibitors and program pro-gram committees, is urging all Hurricane farmers to bring on their prize fruit crop wonders and aid in presenting the biggest and most attractive exhibit ever on display in the history of this annual an-nual affair. "Young people, oldsters, and children are invited to lay aside their shovels, knitting and marbles mar-bles and join the crowd for fun and surprises in this two-day celebration, August 23 and 24", says Mayor Wadsworth. |
