Show President Snow Reports Names Of New Dixie College Teachers New teachers at the Dixie junior college for 1939-40 include Jay Tolman, coach; Rodney Ashby, coordinator co-ordinator and business teacher; Dean A. Peterson, business practice prac-tice and stenography; Mrs. Vivian Spencer, librarian. There is a possibility that one more new teacher will be added to the staff to help in English and journalism, it was reported today by Pres. Glenn E. Snow. Mr. Tolman was an outstanding athlete at the U.S.A.C. and has been a very successful coach at Delta, the past few years. He is one of Utah's most promising athletic directors. Rodney A. Ashby, a successful school administrator and educational educa-tional leader in southern Utah for the past few years, is transferring transfer-ring from the Kane county super-intendency super-intendency to the Dixie college faculty. He has been training especially for coordination work and for business. Dean A. Peterson, a past teacher at Mount Pleasant high school and a recent student at the University of Southern California, Califor-nia, comes also with an exceptional excep-tional record. Mrs. Vivian Spencer has served as assistant librarian at the U.S.A.C. for the past two years. Her training and experience in college library work are of the highest order. "The college," states President Snow, "is expanding work in vocational vo-cational fields and in business.
