Show Three Men Advanced In Local Guard Unit At the last meeting of Company C Monday. Aug. 7. three outstanding out-standing enlisted men received well merited awards. Clarence W. Anderson was promoted (o First Sergeant, Calvert B. Andrus and Lee S. Phariss were promoted to Corporals. These men have shown outstanding leadership during the past three months and the organization or-ganization looks forward to 1heir continued success. There will be several promotions at the end of August. Recent transfers from Battery F, 222nd Field Artillery, Cedar City are Hamlin J. Bracken and Robert G. Riding. Company C welcomes these experienced artillerymen. artil-lerymen. After piling up a 11-2 lead in the Softball game against the S.C.S. team Tuesday, Company C wilted and lost out 18-11. It was Boyden Fawcetl's first attempt at pitching and he did very well but could not overcome the handicap handi-cap of a shortage of three fielders throughout the greater part of the game. |
