Show 30 YEARS AGO July 5, 1952 Five boys from Vernal are attending the annual Boys' State encampment at Camp Williams where 200 boys from Utah high schools have met to run a minature goverpment for 12 days. Regular rnlifnrm bacterial checks of Uintah Basin rivers and streams, being made by the Utah State Department of Health every two months indicate a high water pollution, according to Floyd Bingham, sanitarian. The National Park Service has installed in-stalled a colorful and informative exhibit ex-hibit in the Field House. This attractive disDlav introduces the visitors to Utah to the National Pane Service areas of the state and illustrates il-lustrates major points of interest in its national parks and monuments. It serves as an effective means of publicizing many of Utah's most outstanding scenic and recreational areas. |
