Show I ( . - -- f A 4-i Garr Lee Jones Garr Jones dies in Colorado Garr Lee Jones, 57, of Loveland, Col-o., Col-o., died at his home June 30, 1982. Born Oct. 22, 1924 in Cedar City, Utah, he was the son of Edger Clark and Arietta Brinkerhoff Jones. He married Elaine Samuels Dec. 1, 1951 in Meeker, Colo. They later divorced. He was a sheepman, maintenance worker for the Loveland School District, worked for the U.S. Forest Service, World War II veteran and attended at-tended BYU. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Billy (Sandra) Self of Ringling, Okla. and Dawnell Jones of Cody, Wyo. ; two grandchildren; father and step-mother of Vernal; a sister and brothers, Mrs. Lynn (Clelia) Martinsen of Vernal and Clark Jones of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Funeral services were July 3 in the Vernal Thomson's Mortuary. Bishop Brian O'Neil conducted the service. Don Walker and Lois Erickson sang "In God's Garden." Lynn Martinsen gave the invocation. Lloyd Winward and Wayne Gardner spoke. Don Walker and Lois Erickson sang "Abide With Me tis Eventide." Dennis Martinsen gave the benediction. Burial was in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Edgar B. Jones dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Wayne Gardner, Kim Martinsen, Farron Martinsen, Mar-tinsen, Rick Martinsen, Billy Self, and Thomas Samuels. Burial was with military honors. |
