The 33 and 36-inch pipe is being buried in a six to ten foot deep trench. Tyzcack Aqueducv pipe laying is 40 complete About 40 percent of the pipeline work on the T zack Aqueduct from Red Fleet Dam to the top of LXk-'s Hc.ich Hill h.is been completetl. according to Liirry Rhodes, Bureau of Reclamation engineer for the Central I'lah Project. The $;i.i.H).ti projivt is not schetlul-ed schetlul-ed to be finished until May 10, 1U, but I'nderground Construction Comp.iny of California is aiming to finishing most of the work this year. The pump station will probably go into next year. Rhodes conjectured The 10 6 mile line starts at the base of Red Fleet Dam with 3y inch diameter steel pipe covered with concrete At the end of the line the pipe sue (iocs down to 33 inch at a point where the CL P treatment treat-ment plant will be built. The Red Fleet water w ill be raised in elevation 500 feet by the head from the bottom of the reservoir and by pumping pump-ing The highest point of the aqueduct is near where Highway 4-t tops the ridge at the north end of Steinaker Draw. From the Steinaker Ridge the water will gravity feed to the Doc's Beach Hill treatment plant. The aqueduct crosses Highway -) at the bottom of Steinaker Ridge. A series of five pumps will provide the varied amount of water pressure and volume to serve the needs for the system that has been designed to carry as much as 46 second feet of water. At the CUP treatment plant the Tyzack aquaduct will act as a supplimentary water supply for Ashley Spring, the present source for Vernal City. -- - -- -- - - - - - r y. ,r :: A - r ' :: -YY.;1 : : in y """VY - J :;IyL-i .
