Show ! Tourism head retires Milton R. Jolley, considered a leader in Utah's ; tourism industry and a goodwill ambassador for the state, retired from his position as assistant director of the Utah Travel Council at the end of June. ; v He was called a roving ambassador for Utah because of his on-the-road promotional programs. He was appointed ap-pointed assistant director in 1957. Jolley said he would continue promotional efforts but at a more leisurely pace. His efforts with the Travel Council included the establishment of Utah's Regional Program of nine multi-county promotional organizations responsible for advertising. He has been recognized with awards by the Utah Campground Owners Association and by the state's innkeepers. |
