Show i " ' i" "' Lawrence Ralph Aitken Lawrence Aitken dies July 2 Lawrence Ralph Aitken, 60, of Vernal died at his home July 2, 1982. He was the son of Jesse E. and Norma Angus Aitken, born Sept. 14, 1921 in Menan, Idaho. He married Wanlyn Cherry May 14, 1943 in Dillon, Mont. He was a railroad and oil field worker, and truck driver. He was a veteran of World War II, former member of BPOE of Vernal Lodge, member of the LDS Church, outdoorsman, fisherman and gardner. Survivors are his wife of Vernal; son and daughter, Lynden G. Aitken of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Lamond (Julie Ann) Harrison of Vernal; seva grandchildren; mother of Lew'isvilU Idaho; and three brothers, E.W. (Bud) Aitken, Gene Aitken both of Lewisviiu Idaho and Darwin Aitken or OraA Calif. He was preceded in death by to father; sister, Ina Cartenterfandsm Dean L. Aitken. Funeral services were Monday, M 5, in the Thomsons Vernal Mortuary Bishop Lorin Merrell was in chatst Lynden Aitken gave the family prayer Kermit Harrison gave the invocalion Bill Pitchf ord and Dorthy Merrill snac "The Old Rugged Cross." Bishop Merrell gave some remarks, and Do Walker and Lois Erickson sang, "(y Be With You Til We Meet Again." Daniel Harrison gave ne benediction. John Dee Cherry of Lima, Moil., dedicated the grave. Burial was in tie Lima Cemetery in Lima, Montana. |
