Show . - ' - . i I ROSS A. SLYE Ross A. Slye dies in Vernal Ross A. Slye, 73, died in the Uintah County Hospital Jan. 7, 1981. Born Feb. 13, 1907 in Richfield, Utah to Calvin, and Sara Jane Abrams Slye. He married Margaret McManus Nov. 26, 1946 in Richmond, Va. He was a civil engineer for the Highway High-way Department for 34 years, served in the U.S. Navy 1943-45, member of the American Legion, Vernal Rotary Club, past president of the Vernal Rotary Club, Masonic Lodge Ashley No. 28 and Franklin Lodge No. 27 at Cedar City, Utah, Member ElKalah Temple of the Shrine, Knight Templar, York Rite and Scottish Rite, King Peak Chapter No. 9, Uintah Basin Shrine Club, Pilalethes Society, Knight Templar Eye Foundation Foun-dation and Life Sponsor, Cedar City Chapter 20 and Order of Eastern Star Duveromy Chapter 17. Survivors are widow of Vernal; five children, Geraldine, Calvin, Milli Lou, Sonja and Carol; many grandchildren; and brother and sister, Gary Slye of Boise, Idaho and Mrs. Betty Masen of Salt Lake City. Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 11 at the Vernal Masonic Lodge. Two songs were sung by Valeska Franke accompanied by Maybell Ball. Burial -was in the Vernal Memorial Park. Pallbearers were members of the Vernal Masonic Lodge. Honorary pallbearers . were . members of . the Jjy,ej3)a!,JRota.r,y, Club,. Military.rights were by the American Legion. |
