Show Roundtable planned for scout leaders Leaders of explorer, varsity, scouts and cubs are encouraged to attend a Scout Roundtable at the Maeser Stake Center, Jan. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Activities for this year, the 80th birthday birth-day of Boy Scouts of America and 60th birthday for the Utah National Parks, will be discussed along with other activities at the meeting. Jan. 31 is the last day charters are good. Without new charters, many boys will miss out on awards that are ordered or-dered but can't be mailed because they lack charters. All charters should be turned in no later than Jan. 14 for cubs and Jan. 15 for all other units. During the Roundtable, departments will meet in their areas. There will be no opening exercises. The Cub Department will meet in the Junior Sunday School room. Themes will be presented for February and March, and plans for the April cut and scout circus will be given. Rules for the district pinewood derby will also be discussed. A den doodle will be given to the pack with the highest percentage of leaders at the Roundtable. |
