Show Former Vernal resident dies Claud Richard Greenhow, 45, 759 Diamond Street, Layton, Utah, died Monday, Jan. 12, 1981, at the Davis North Medical Center, Layton, Utah, of a heart attack. He was born Sept. 21, 1935 in Vernal to Hyrum Henry and Nondis Ellifritz Greenhow. He married Sharon Swain March 5, 1955 in Buloxie, Miss.- He was a systems analysist at Hill Air Force Base in Layton. He was a resident of Layton since 1962. He lived in Vernal from 1958 to 1962. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Layton, Utah. He was a master sargeant in the USA Air Force Reserve, Unit 67, APS, Hill, AFB. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors are wife of Layton; two sons, Richard Kirk, serving with the U.S. Army in Hawaii and Lael, of Layton; two daughters, Mrs. C. Owen (Valer Lynn) Atwood, Layton, Windy Gail, Layton; two grandchildren; parents of Vernal; one brother, Burt Greenhow, Vernal; three sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Agnus) Smuin, Vernal, Mrs. Marvin (Ethel) Yordan, Grand Junction, Junc-tion, Colo., and Mrs. Shane (Leta) Carpenter, "Grand Junction, Colo. Funeral services were held at the First Southern Baptist Church, 1332 Hillfield Road, Layton, Utah, Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. Officiating will be Brother Michael B. Donahoo. Interment will be in the Kaysville Layton Cemetery. |
