PeMcan Lake campground now open to anglers Fisherman at Pelican Lake have never had it so good ! A brand new boat ramp and six camping units are ready for use by this year's anglers. Finding these facilities might be a little tricky. With the accompanying map and a sharp eye for the recreational campground signs, determined bass and bluegill fishermen , are sure to find the site. The new boat ramp has a concrete plank surface and is wide enough that two boats can be launched at the same time. The ramp is also designed to allow launching during low water, a big fil improvement over previous ramps.' Each campsite has a table and firecircle. New trees have been planted to provide shade in future years. No drinking water or firewood is available, however. Bringing a load and a jug of water will be almost as important as remembering to bring the worms. Fishermen are asked to pack out their garbage. Their help is needed to keep the area clean. The facility was a joint effort of The Bureau of Land Management, Utah National Guard, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources and the Uintah County Commission. |
