Show The state of Utah is divided into three topographical provinces. They are: The Colorado Plateau Province, The Basin and Range Province, Pro-vince, and third the Northern Nor-thern Rocky Mountains Province. The Colorado Plateau Province encompasses encom-passes one-half of the state. It includes: High Plateaus, Uintah Basin, Book and Roan Cliffs, Green River Desert, and the Colorado Plateau proper. pro-per. The latter is located in the southeastern, southcentral and southern part of the state. The Basin and Range Province or the Great Basin extends west from the Wasatch Mountains and from the southern High Plateaus. The third, the Northern Rocky Mountains Province is located in the northeastern nor-theastern part of the state and is one-sixth in size of the state. This area of land includes the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains. |
