Show Revenue bonding shut off in Vernal city In a joint Vernal City and Uintah County meeting Monday morning, a motion was passed not to issue industrial in-dustrial development revenue bonds, within Vernal City until Jan. 1, 1982 when new city council members will take office. The revenue bond issue has been under debate for some time. Uintah County has issued bonds to Deseret' Generation and Transmission Cooperative for pollution control equipment and to several oil companies and to Asphalt Ridge Energy Company. Vernal City has denied all revenue bond requests made in the city. Two weeks ago several companies approached the county to approve revenue bond financing for projects within the city. The county refused to approve the requests and turned the matter back to the city. Seventeen Vernal businessmen were present at the city-county discussion on revenue bond financing. County Commissioners said they would still consider revenue bond financing within the county on an individual in-dividual basis. Also at the meeting, Ken Fisher representing Deseret Generation and Transmission Cooperative suggested that a local development committee be formed for DG&TC. V' - I ir ? ' -. ; ; --r-uJ . ,. . .
