Show It's a fact. Riders who take a motorcycle safety education course tend to be more safety-conscious and wear their helmets more often. That is what the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Founda-tion learned when the riding records of course graduates were studied. Wearing a helmet doesn't happen naturally. Riders have to acquire the habit. But it's an important habit to have: Cyclists who don't wear helmets have twice as many head injuries as those who do. Cyclists who don't wear helmets have three times as many fatal head injuries as helmet wearers. Next to superior riding skills, the most important safety item for motorcyclists motorcy-clists is a helmet. Whether your state requires you to wear a helmet or not, a safe rider never goes out without one. |
