Four of the helicopters are stationed at the Vernal airport. The Army's Kmorgency Response Team, stationed at the Vernal j Municipal Airport for the transportation tran-sportation of the weteye bombs, will have an open house this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is invited to meet (lie team and examine the aircraft and equipment equip-ment that will be used should an inflight in-flight emergency occur during the move of 8H8 weteye nerve bombs from Kooky Mountain Arsenal to Dugvay Proving Ground in Utah. Those attending .Saturday's open house will have an opportunity to explore ex-plore the cockpit and cargo area of tlie Army twin-rotor OH 47C "Chinook" transport helicopter, the emergency team's mission transport. Four "Cbinooks" are stationed at the Vernal airport along with -11 crewmen. The helicopters are on call should an emergency occur and have a response time of 30 minutes reaching speeds of over 150 miles per hour. A jeep and trailer rig that travels in the cargo hold of the helicopter will be on display along with chemical protective masks, garments, and detection and decontamination equipment. This displays w ill be on the w est side of the Vernal airport ,ir the park lot where the new terminal building w ill Ix1 built.
