Show Lecture to be given at library David Singer, humanist in residence, of the Uintah County Library, will give his first lecture on the history of Vernal Main Street from it's beginning to lKl. on August 18, 1381 in the Multi Purple room of the Uintah County Library. He will be assisted by David Ahrnsbrak. who is doing graphics and pictures for the project which will be a permanent display at the library. This is funded by a grant from the Utah Endowment for the Humanities They w ill have on display old maps of the area including one of Ashley Town The program is planned to last an hour and the public is invited to attend David's research of Vernal Main Street will continue through the end of October. During this time four Uvtures will be given progressing up to 1SS1. During the lecture of the 19.H' s and 40's a special 4.i minute movie of Vernal's Main Stret-t taken in thai period w ill be shown. The film was taken by the Vernal Ver-nal Lions Club. Anyone having old maps or pictures of Vernal's Main Stret-t should contact David Singer, David Ahrnsbrak or Doris Burton at the Library, 7S9HVyi.
