Show -vi ... " ; L .v MR. AND MRS. FARLEY SOWARDS Temple wedding vows join Batty-Sowards Wedding vows were exchanged by Sherry Batty and Farley Sowards in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on July 14, 1981. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne D. Batty. Farley is the son of Senator and Mrs. Glade M. Sowards. r A wedding breakfast was held j following the wedding at the Alta Club. A reception honoring the young couple - was held July 17 at the Uintah Stake Center. ' For the wedding and reception the : bride was lovely in a white chiffon gown. The Queen Anne neckline and : long sleeves were trimmed with lace. A ruffle adorned the bottom and train. A - matching veil completed her ensemble. The bride carried a bouquet of rainbow colored flowers. Mothers of the bride and groom wore , floor length lavender blue dresses. Their corsages were camellias. Diane Bigelow, matron of honor, . along with the bridesmaids, Stacy Adams, Nannette Gamble. Paula Sowards and Sheila Batty, were dressed in rainbow colors with hats and bouquets to match. Jamie Batty and ; Amy Bigelow were flower girls. . The groom wore a white tailed tux. .His best man and ushers were Rod Anderson, Rick Birch, Jim Daggett, David Batty and Scott Sowards. They were dressed in silver gray tuxedos. The hall was decorated with white draped back drops behind the line and cake. A gazebo was over the piano where Terrance and AJisha Batty played soft music ., .. ; . . A cake made by the bride's sister and mother. Diane Bigelow and Mrs. Wayne Batty, had three fountains. The tiers of the cake were decorated with rainbow colored flowers. A hand blown glass temple was on top of the cake. People assisting with the reception were Leneeda Williams at the guest book; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wallace, Mr. and Mrs. David John Morgan and Mrs. and Mrs. Richard Batty stood as greeters. Guests who came from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Max Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. R. Glenn Kaiser, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Broadfead, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wallace of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Fae Bate of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Ogzie Boesham of Provo. After a wedding trip the young couple are making their home in Salt Lake City. |
