Show Local disregard of clean air act Although the Utah Indoor Clean Air Act is an official Utah Law, some local establishments are disregarding it, said Sandra Madsen, President of the Uintah Unit, American Cancer Society The law states: "No person shall smoke in a public place or at a public meeting except in designated smoking areas." "At present, enforcement of the Clean Air Act lies mainly in public pressure," continued Mrs. Madsen. The Cancer Society has developed a wallet size card that Utahns can leave wilh the management at public places that do not have a separate smoking section.
