A reception was held January 7 at the Vernal 1st ward. Caldwell-Francis exchange wedding vows Debbie Caldwell became the bride of Paul Francis on January 3 at the Manti LDS Temple. Parents of the couple are Mrs. Leonard (Charlene) Self and the late Leonard Self of Vernal and Larry Caldwell, Las Vegas, Nevada and Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Francis, Vernal. Guests attended from Hurricane, Provo, Orem and Vernal. A rehearsal dinner has held at Cedar Crest,' Lodge, . Palisades Park, Palisades, Utah. 1 On Jan. 7, a reception was held at the Vernal 1st Ward. The bride's gown was designed with a fitted bodice featuring a stand-up ruffled ruffl-ed collar and embroidered Venetian lace inset outlined with a ruffle at the neckline. It was also decorated with seed pearls. Semi-full sleeves were gathered to fitted lace cuffs. Satin ribbon rib-bon accented the waistline. The white organza skirt extended to a chapel-length chapel-length train in back. A wide lacy ruffle edged the hem of the lace and ruffle decorated skirt. Her fingertip-length veil of Venetian lace was attached to an organza headpiece head-piece decorated with seed pearls. Blue and white roses with white nosegays tied with lace ribbon made up the cascading bridal bouquet. Matron of honor was Lisa Reynolds and bridesmaids were Shari Haslem, Teresa Francis, Bonnie Francis and Lorene Nelson. Flower girl was Colleen Shirley. The attendants wore blue and white, long, nylon dresses. Mother of the bride wore a blue organza over silk dress. The groom's mother chose a blue polyester knit dress with velvet jacket. Both had blue and white rose corsages. The groom was attired in an all white tuxedo with white ruffled shirt and bow tie. He had a blue rosebud boutonniere. Bestman was Wendell Francis and usher was Kevin Murray. They both wore blue tuxedos Blue and white backdrops decorated the reception hall with blue and white rose bouquets and green ferns on pedestals lending a decorative accent. Tables were covered with white cloths with blue and white rose centerpieces. Receptionists were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kay; guest book, Annette Caldwell and Anita Caldwell; gift book, Sherri Murray; gift bearers, Jim Shirley, Eric Kay, Sam Francis and Grant Francis; serving, Laura Win-ward, Win-ward, Holly Hunsaker, Sammie Kay, Diane Bell, Sherri Labrum, Sandra Reay, Kim Wall and Jodie Francis ; and kitchen, Alta Winward, Sally Hunsaker, Faye Howells and Jackie Preece. The five tiered wedding cake was decorated in the blue and white scheme with blue roses and white cherubs and white bells with white hanging lace. Special out-of-town guests were from Hanksville, Ferron, Provo, Orem and Salt Lake City. Following their wedding trip to Park City, the couple is at home in Provo, where both are employed and Paul attends at-tends Brigham Young University and Debbie attends Provo Tech. |
