Presenting the $2,000 check were Corrme Pease, right, president and Wilma Webb, project chairman of the Current Current Topics Club pledges s2100 to hospitJ Current Topics Club at their first meeting of the new decade met at the home of Iva Wilson with Velma Erekson as co-hostess. The evening's program was presented by Dr. Colleen Colton who showed slides and memorabilia of her recent seminar in Egypt. She told of some of the people and their living conditions and gave nn insight into the politics and the culture. At this time the Current Topics Club voted to contribute the necessary funds to sponsor the furnishing of a room in the new hospital. Throughout the years the club members have helped especially with Uintah Co. Hospital needs. At one time they helped set up a card file for the hospital of blood types of Uintah County people. They also spearheaded the drive to put piped in oxygen into the rooms. There are several mcmlers who have served on Topics Club. TN presentation was made in the main nurses' st.1 1 tion in the new hospital. the hopsital board from time to time and at present have Lil Henderson acting ac-ting in this position. Members at this time acting as volunteer pink ladies include in-clude Wilma Webb, Loma Stnngham I and lva Wilson. The members w ere pleased to the 2.100 for this new hospital feel it will benefit many people area. ' 1 i |
