Show Rabies clinic set for February 2 The Humane Society of Uintah and the Ashley Valley Veterinary Clinic announced an-nounced that a rabies clinic will be conducted con-ducted Saturday, Feb. 2 at the National Guard Armory. The clinic will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. The annual rabies clinic will be conducted similar to last year. Rabies shots will cost $5 each a discount dis-count of $3 from the regular fee at the veterinarian's office, and will be ad ministered by Dr. Chris Crnich and Dr. Ed Oscarson, Ashley Valley Veter-narian Veter-narian Clinic. Distemper shots will also be given for those desiring them for $6 each. In addition to the discount, Dr. Ed Oscarson has announced he will donate $1 to the Humane Society for every rabies shot administered. Also, Jack Lent, Vernal City and Uintah Uin-tah County Animal Control Officer will conduct a licensing clinic simultaneous- ly with the clinic. It will be possible for both city and county residents to pay for and pick up their respective licenses at the armory. A Vernal City dog license costs $10 for unspayed females and unneutered males and $5 for spayed females and neutered males. 'County licenses cost $10 for unspayed females and $5 for males and spayed females. Proof of the rabies shot and spaying or neutering must accompany each license request. |
