'They are: Marty Kay, Valda Massey, Errol Merkley, Carmen Harrison, Jack A. Seitz, Alberta Husch and Larry M. Spillen. "The basic purpose of this hearing is to gather from concerned and knowledgeable citizens of all ages in Uintah County, facts, concerns, problems pro-blems and potential solutions to issues that are confronting the family today," said Commissioner Mecham. Those wishing to testify may sign up by calling Dr. Wayne Reid. Written testimony, limited to 1,000 words, should accompany oral testimony, both for the final record and to provide complete remarks, in case a witness is unable to do so in their 5-minute time allotment. After each eight persons presenting testimony, the hearing panel will take 10 to 15 minutes for a question period, allowing the hearing panel opportunity to question witnesses for clarification purposes. There will also be speak-out periods during which persons who have not signed up to testify may make a 3-minute presentation on a first come basis. These are scheduled on Feb. 13 from 4:10 and again at 8:40 p.m. |
