Show Current Topics club meets Twenty-one members of Current Topics Club met at the home of Lillian Henderson on Dec. 3. Nancy Grua assisted as co-hostess for the evening. A most interesting program was presented by Rose Miller, who is working with the Department of Social Services. She told of the large influx of people that will be moving to the Uintah Basin in the near future due to the oil industry and mentioned that human services and needs are going to be very evident. A strong community effort will have to be made to determine how severe an impact this might have in the Uintah Basin and that we should all welcome these new people with some positive understanding and caring. An interesting current topic, "Language Barrier Handicaps U.S. Trade Abroad" was presented by Dode Rolfe. Meg and Don Hatch will host the annual Christmas dinner party at their" ibriitrr)eerTr?rt i -. sip-p-m -r" - Joe King and Kathryn Slaugh will co-hostess co-hostess the Jan. 7 meeting with location to be announced. |
