Show A big event in the lives of many of the girls at Uintah took place this week. They had the opportunity to prefer the 1 guy of their dreams. Tuesday morning from 5-7 a.m., the Girl's League officers of-ficers helped the female students with this task. The dance, traditionally in the spring, will be Dec. 23, in place of the Senior Ball. Students had the chance to see just where they stand in fheir classes last week, as it was mid-term. Teachers often send mid-term reports home to parents to give their children a 'boost', if needed. Try-outs for this year's musical "Hello Dolly!" were Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. The production is under the direction of Becky Cochran and Reed Hansen. Several students took part in the auditions, with many young ladies vying for the coveted "Dolly Levi" part. A talent assembly was put on Wednesday Wed-nesday morning by the clubs at Uintah. Arlene Bowden, club president, was in charge. Among the talent numbers displayed was a dance by MarJean McKenzie and Monica Smith and a variety of skits, musical numbers and dances. Christmas activities for the Utes are in the planning stages right now. Members of the Executive Council are busily preparing for several different things to help students get in the "Christmas spirit." Some of the ideas are: a telephone contest, tree-decorating tree-decorating contest, bell day and a Christmas share. |
