Show 1980 Circuit Breaker relief deadline nears Widows, widowers and senior citizens (over 65) with an income below $9,000 have until December 31 to claim their 1980 circuit breaker relief from the State Tax Commission. Qualifying homeowners and mobile home owners may receive between $50 and $300, depending upon household income and property tax liability. Renters may claim between bet-ween 1 and 9.5 of their annual rent, depending upon household income. To file for a circuit, breaker refund, the person per-son must (1) complete a circuit breaker form available from the Tax Commission, and (2) provide pro-vide a copy of the property proper-ty tax assessment (renters excluded). Claimants are still eligible eligi-ble to receive the general property tax credit on their 1981 income tax returns. Note however, that under both programs, pro-grams, a homeowner must provide a copy of this property tax assessment. assess-ment. Photocopies are therefore acceptable. Forms are available locally at the Motor Vehicle Vehi-cle State Tax Commission office in the basement of Uintah County courthouse. |
