Show Daughters of Utah Pioneers hold party The Bicentennial Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers got the festive season off to a start with a party and lesson Dec. 5, at Doris Humphries' home. Captain Marilyn Hunting Hun-ting called the meeting to order and discussed the business. All welcomed Jill Birchell, a prospective prospec-tive new member. Alta Winward gave a lesson on the history of American clocks. Mrs. Winward came as "Miss Tick-Tock" modeling the several ways time pieces have changed over the years. Some members brought old family clocks to share. Each had a unique uni-que history. "If clocks could talk what a story they would tell," commented com-mented one member. Jan Hatch did a reading of "My Grandfather's Clock", Kathy Bert accompanied ac-companied her on the piano. Dinner was served and everyone enjoyed visiting. |
