Julie Collier-John Baker exchange vows Nov. 1 7 Julie Ann Collier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harlen R. Collier of Vernal was united in marriage on Nov. 17 to John Bart Baker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barton E. Baker of Vernal. The ceremony was officiated by Raymond McDonald at the Dinaland Country Club. Julie and John had a double ring ceremony. Special out-of-town guests attending the wedding were Ronal Yeaman and Nancy McDonough, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Zenaida Urban, Loma, Colo., Shirley Blankenship, Maude, Okla.; Linda Sanders, Casper, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. David Baker, Everett, Wash., and Stanley Baker, Moab, Utah. Mrs. Gladys Baker, the groom's mother held a rehearsal dinner for the couple on Nov. 15 at the Dinaland Country Club. The couple were honored at a wedding wed-ding reception Nov. 17 at the Dinaland Country Club. The bride's dress was styled with a fitted bodice with a Queen Anne neckline framed in silk Venice lace, with long chantilly sleeves. The full skirt fell in panels of chiffon and chantilly lace and floated into a chapel length train, edged in silk Venice. The Bride's veil was of matching Venice lace. The bride carried a bouquet of large pink silk roses with pink and burgandy rose buds, pearl teardrops and lace teardrops with satin leaves and ivy. Attending the bride was her matron of honor, Linda Nickell. She also had two bridesmaids, Loraine McDonald and Bonnie Baker. Rebecca Nickell was the flower girl. Attendants to the bride wore street length dresses made of silk crepe, burgandy in color. They wore nosegays made of burgandy and pink silk roses. The flower girl wore a floor length pink satin dress with a bodice of ruffles and lace. She carried burgandy and pink silk rose buds and petals and wore a pink rose bud in her hair. The bridesmaids work burgandy silk rosebuds in their hair. Mrs. Harlen R. Collier, the bride's mother, wore a floor length pink silk crepe dress with a chiffon capelet. Her corsage was pink silk roses with burgandy rose buds trimmed with lace teardrops. Mrs. Barton E. Baker, the groom's mother wore a floor length pink silk crepe dress with a lace bodice overlay. She also wore silk roses. John chose Rannie McDonald as his best man for the wedding. The groom wore a white tuxedo with tails and a white ruffled shirt. The groom's boutonniere was of burgandy and pink silk rosebuds. Rannie wore as did the ushers, burgandy tuxedos with burgandy trimmed ruffled shirts. Their boutonnieres were pink silk rosebuds. Ushers for the wedding were Rory ' Potter, Kelvin Collier, and Shawn Nickell. Fink silk oval backdrops and cherub pillars with pink and burgandy bouquets were used in the decorations. The aisle pillars were joined by garland and pink bows. The reception room had pink lace tablecloths with pink and burgandy bouquets on the tables. The gift room was organized by Annie Hacking and Beth Bascom. Gift bearer was Shawn Nickell. Kara Stringham and Jillyn Stringham were the wedding reception servers. Laurie Oaks and Lynette Ray were in charge of the punch bowls. Kitchen caterer was Donna Merrill and DeAnn Stringham. Marylynne Click played the wedding march for Julie and John and also played the music before the wedding. The wedding cake was a three tiered cake frosted white and laced in pink. Cascading pink roses with burgandy rosebuds and white lace butterflies and pink bells were on each layer. The top of the cake was white satin wedding bells set in a pearl heart. The couple took their wedding trip to Lake Tahoe. Julie wore a maroon velvet pantsuit with a pink silk blouse as her going-away attire. The couple plan to make Vernal their home. |
