elks and ladies are entertained at annual picnic the annual mid summer picnic of the B P 0 E no 1673 held in legion park on saturday night was one of the most successful affairs of the season elks and their ladies and guests enjoyed the outing and especially the pic me nic dinner that was served by the lady elks arrangements were in charge of J A van ness chairman of the committee whose efforts insured the picnic and program the picnic table was in charge of the lady elks who served ham baked by doc burger plenty of roasting ears of corn done to a turn by joe and trimmings to corn the menu music was furnished by rex cushing and his six piece orchestra with accordion banjo and saxo phone numbers and they also accompanied the group singing led by mrs kathryn sullivan after the picnic and program the eve ning was spent dancing at the open air pavilion
