Show LINCOLN LINCOL N dorothy walker officers and teachers of the ward MIA met at the home of mrs for ter W price for their monthly meeting and social monday even ing those who attended were mr and mrs donald kuester mr and mrs charles L price mrs farrell caldwell mrs willard mathews mrs george bleazard mrs william woodard mr harvey shields mr vernal shields mr melvin shields mr and mrs blame blaine carlisle and mr and mrs william W walker class lessons and activities for the coming year were planned and a very buce successful meeting was en joyed by all all mr and mrs george boyce and children bryan and nancy of salt lake city were dinner guests of mrs porter W price wednesday evening home once more after a trip of gay activity and fun to new mexico and colorado are miss helen shields and her sister miss anna shields A lawn party at the home of mr and mrs charlie was the setting for the annual secret pal party friday evening entertain ing games were led by mrs elma kuester lovely gifts were receive ed by each girl from her pal ree re e who her pal had been the past year the men were surprised by re ceiling gifts too A delightful hot supper was ser ved to mr and mrs darrel green mr and mrs robert lee mr and mrs butch mathews mr and mrs bruce sagers mr and mrs don aid kuester mr and mrs ralph benson mr and mrs charles L price mr and mrs william W walker mr air and mrs gerald war burton mr and mrs harvey shields mr and mrs arthur shields mr and mrs albert cas mr and mrs ployd floyd nash mr and mrs gene castagno mr and mrs doyle shields mr and mrs lowell shields and mr and mrs phillips visiting friends and relatives in salt lake city thursday were mrs porter W price and mrs char 1 les L price speakers at the sunday evening services were mrs darrel green and helen and anna shields they met while on their vacation mr and mrs donald kuester and mr ME and mrs don C shields at I 1 tended the water follies in salt lake city wednesday evening they reported to be exceptionally i fine entertainment I 1 the primary ended their summer activity program monday by giving the children a lovely party many entertaining games were played the treat of the day was ice cream cones and cup cakes friday night mr and mrs blame blaine carlisle and son stephen left on a very interesting and enjoyable trip anpo to southern utah they visit ed colorful cedar city then trav aled east to cedar brakes and there viewed the beautiful coun try where the movie scenes were taken for the picture blicka at kanab they viewed the corol sand dunes and near kanab they came upon centaury Cent eury fox movie company making a scene for their next picture green grass of wy oming they thought the rock for lations around kanab very rug ged and impressive they took pic pie kures tures on the banks of the sevier river of the beautiful pine forest heavily laden with pine cones they also took pictures of the much publicized rock candy moun tarns which are carmel in color they returned home sunday even ing mr and mrs william dixon and ronnie carolyn and ed die attended the brunt reunion at fairmount park salt lake city sunday dinner and a program were enjoyed little eddie who is four years odi sang a number on the program visiting at the home of their parents mr and mrs dewey A whipple on sunday were dick and junior whipple of salt lake acty in the salt lake L D S temple august IS 18 miss emma lou gun ther daughter of mr and mrs louise gunther became the bride of mr max leon harvey son of mr and mrs ray harvey joseph fielding smith solemnized the mar nage A lovely wedding reception was held on the evening of august 20 at the legion hall honoring the newly wedded couple the bride was attired in a beau ticul white lace gown with a lace juliet cap and veil her wedding bouquet was wag of lavendar orchids and white gladioli mrs dan ed wards sister of the bride was mat ron of honor and miss margie ann gunther and miss betty rae har vey were bridesmaids jay harvey brother of the groom was best man the mothers of the bride and groom wore dark dresses with corsages of white lilies mrs A L hall mrs T J wil liams iams and miss barbara has charge of the gift room assisted by paul williams and dick har bev refreshments were served during the evening by mrs george wil liams mrs ross williams and mrs glen williams assisted by miss connie rae edwards miss velma and miss luana dunn miss arlene james had charge of the guest book glen williams assisted by miss of ceremonies for the musical pro gram which consisted of a vocal solo by marvin gunther piano se sections by hugh robinson a vocal solo by mrs A L hall saw se sections by ross williams a vocal solo by mrs glen williams and an accordian selection by miss rae edwards mr and mrs harvey are mak ing their home in tooele thoele |
