Show I 1 B A P A mary snively arring v ng in ibapah last tuesday to spend a few days with the r son merritt ind other relatives were mr and mrs guy kelley of california mrs james hudson and daugh ter tamm e of grantsville Grants ville have been house guest of mr and mrs jay H acks the past week mr and mrs george tripp and daughter maxine all of callao were ibapah visitors one day last week leaving on their vacation mak ing yellowstone park one of their main stops were mr and mrs wade parrish and daughter joyce lucky people don t we e all wish ish u we e were as lucky thursday night another hay ride in the calloway truck of the gang went to callao to spend the even ing dancing they had a christen son and his swing kings from del ta to give forth with music the music was out of this world I 1 al most thought I 1 was dancing at pine crest inn almost well the music was really that good mr bill ketchum of salt lake city was at the jay hicks ranch when they the returned home early friday morn ng from the callao dance I 1 heard the hicks and the ketchums Ket chums spent saturday chasing wild ild horses out on the flat more darn fun mr and mrs curtis sabey mr and mrs fred larson all of salt lake city mrs amelia sabey and son merin meri n both of callao were visiting at the homes of the T F lees the F F Sni and the dan saturday afternoon bernell calloway and mrs jos eph G page motored to wendover sunday morning to meet Ber bernell nells s friend dan england of tooele thoele they spent the afternoon in wend over watching abe jenkins race on the salt flats the most popular young man of the valley is none other than ger aid cook no girls not he s an elig ble young man but because he s the man what has the combine this bear ear seems ev elyone wants gerald at their place at the same time they have given gerald the run around but he doesn t mind too much he smiles at each farmer and goes putting down the road to the next gram grain patch spending sunday at the jay hicks ranch were mr and mrs james hudson and daughter tarn tam mie mr bill ketchum and two of his friends from salt lake city and mr and mrs floyd russell of tooele thoele mrs russell russells s friends a miss butterfield of salt lake city must of been a busy day for mrs hicks one of ibapah s oldest natives celebrated his birthday august it was none other than mr owen sherdian mr sherdian is a typical old irish gent he has that irish twinkle in his eye and that sweet old irish blarney in his talk that pleasing to the ears of every one that hears it I 1 remember as a child one of mr sherdian s dav onte sayings was well well now beta hokie and from that day on I 1 do believe that mr sherdian will be remembered by all ibapah as hokie ibapah was very happy to have him spend his birth day here in the valley all friends that called at the nichols ranch to wish him a happy birthday were treated to ice cream and cake I 1 took the fastest nde ride to wend over yesterday that I 1 have ever taken in my life we went faster than we wanted to but in a case of an emergency I 1 guess we were re all thankful for the speed of a car gerald was hemorrhaging so badly when we left ibapah with him a sigh of relief was when we pulled into the wendover hospital geralds out of danger now but hell be weak for several days two more cattlemen were visit ing in the valley on monday mr and mrs garth weaver of wendover were visiting at the homes of mr and mrs jay hicks and mr and mrs walter weaver monday afternoon |
