Show llanksville News Notes By Barbara Ekker Graveside services were held Friday in Loa for the infant son of Terry and Brenda Sellers Albrecht. Jared Heber Albrecht was born Dec. 12th in the Richfield hospital and was premature, weighing 1 lb. 12 oz. He was admitted to the hospital in Provo and later transfered to Primary Children's Child-ren's Hospital in Salt Lake where ne underwent majory heart and abdominal surgery last week. His grandfather. La Naie Albrecht conducted the services with Mrs. Karen Albrecht speaking and uncle, Danny Albrecht, dedicating the grave. A wedding reception will be held Jan. 31st at the ward recreation hall for newlyweds, Bruce and Careen Seager Ekker. They were wed in Green River Jan. 17th. Jay Ekker, brother of the groom, was best man; Diane Seager, sister of the bride was maid of honor. Presently they are residing in Hanksville as Bruce is employed at the Hydro-Jet Services south of here. Mr. and Mrs. Riter Ekker and their daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Blackburn, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Elcker and son, Gib, attended the wedding Saturday Satur-day in Salt Lake of Kip Ekker and Karen Conrad. Mrs. Weltha Thompson accompanied accompan-ied them to Salt Lake and will stay for a visit with the Gardner Schmutz family. Ted and Iona also visited their daughter, Tamera, at the BYU and attended the game that evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Peterson, Peter-son, Cainsville, are the parents par-ents of a son born Jan. 18th in the Sevier Valley Hospital. The Peterson's have two older children awaiting the new brothers arrival home. Hyrum Noyes played the part of Reverend Lional Toop in the Wayne High School play Saturday Jan. 17th. The play was entitled "See How They Run." Mr. and Mrs. Ben Pace, Loa, have moved to Hanksville and are residing at the Dennis Ekker ranch north of town. Ms. Debbie May and Launa Allison, Springville, stopped and visited friends and showed off Miss May's new Toyota Sunday enroute back to their teaching jobs after spending the weekend at Shoot-A-Ring visiting her aunt and brother. Lynn Harris Ekker, the year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ekker will undergo eye surgery sur-gery in Provo this week to open up tear ducts. Following his recuperation he will enter the hospital in Grand Junction for major internal surgery. Mrs. Connie Rasmussen returned home after spending the week in Salt Lake with her parents, the Jeppsons. She accompanied her sister, Carol, and husband, Greg Snow back after their weekend visit here. Oral Bullard, father of Butch Bullard, underwent majory surgery last week in Salt Lake. Karmin Hunt was home over the weekend from his employment in Price. |
