Show Camping Opportunities Are Great for Utah Girls Girl Scout Camping offers an opportunity for girls from different troops to live together togeth-er for a continuous period of twelve days on one of the permanent sites operated by Utah Council. From the littlest Brownie Scout with at least a year of Scouting experience to the Senior Scout who has been around for a long time, Girl Scout Camps have something to offer each in a challenging adventure in the out-of-doors. Camp Red Cliffe near Ogden is located in a wooded area on the Ogden River. The program includes crafts, hiking, hik-ing, sports and ecology studies. stu-dies. Water ballet, swimming and life saving instruction are program emphasis. Special Brownie sessions are offered at Red Cliffe only. Trefoil Ranch in beautiful Provo Canyon is noted for its riding program' for girls 4th through 12th grades. A basic pack trip for experienced girls 13 years and older is offered. Batiking, sand casting, wood carving and printing are just a few activity choices along with the regular camp program. Cloud Rim on the shores of Lake Brimhall high above Park City is surrounded with mountain splendor. AH sessions sess-ions feature hiking, camp craft, outdoor, cooking with program emphasis on sailing, canoeing and swimming instruction in-struction , on Lake Brimhall. Cloud Rim Special Interest Units include-Adventure in The Arts, Basic Primitive, Survival, Mountaineering. Family Camp (August 6-8) at Red Cliffe gives Scout families an experience at Established Camp similar to that enjoyed by Girl Scouts. Core Camping is Troop Camping at one of the Established Camps. A "Core" of skeleton staff-site director, nurse, handyman, program consultant, waterfront personnel-are available to help girls and leaders have a fun while-learning experience. Counselor-in-Training provides pro-vides outdoor leadership and counselor training for Senior Scouts at Cloud Rim.
