This compares with 15,690 for the corresponding period last year for a 61 percent increase in total travel to date. Visitation of the month of March was 11,809. The visitor center will be open on a seven-day-week basis from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through April and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. beginning May 1, 1976. Superintendent Wallace once again reminds the visiting visit-ing public that all motorized vehicles are restricted to maintained roads to avoid damage to the fragile terrain in the park. |
