Show Chief Bobby Scott retires from Navy Chief Aviation Electrician's Electri-cian's Mate Bobby D. Scott, currently assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Four (VX-4), Naval Air Station, Point Mugu, California, is retiring retir-ing from the U.S. Navy after twenty years of service. Chief Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale and Susie Scott of Moab, reported to VX-4 in October of 1974 and has served as the supervisor of the Aviation Electrical Shop and the Aircrew Survival Equipment Equip-ment Branch, and most recently, as the Aircraft Maintenance Quality Control Con-trol Supervisor. Chief Scott enlisted in the Navy in February of 1958, and received his Recruit Training at the Naval Training Center, San Diego, California. He served his initial tour of sea duty aboard the USS Shangri-La (CVA-38). He was then assigned for the major portion of his naval career with Reconnaissance Reconnais-sance Attack Squadron's Three, Five and Six, after an assignment with Attack Squadron 174. During his years of Naval Service, he has received the following decorations: four Good Conduct Awards, the National Na-tional Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Meritorius Unit Commendations. Chief Scott's retirement plans involve working in the business community and pursuing his interest in hunting and fishing. He is currently enjoying a period of leave until his retirement becomes effective effec-tive in April. |
