Registration for the exam is now open and is being held at the SUCCE office, 45 East Center, in Moab. Deadline for reg- istration is April 15, 1978. This exam is in five parts, each part covering a different subject matter area, including: Mathematics, Math-ematics, English, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Science and History. His-tory. The student may elect to take only those parts of the exam he wishes. The exam fee is $20.00 for one part, $30.00 for two parts and $40.00 for three, four or all five parts of the exam. The C.L.E.P. exam is intended primarily for high school seniors, who intend to enter college in the near future, as well as those who have completed some college work but have not previously taken the C.L.E.P. exam. The exam is not a requirement for college entrance, but candidates who score well on it can achieve advance standing in college before attending. A maximum of 46 credit hours of advance standing can be earned through the C.L.E.P. exam. This amount of credit is equivalent to three full quarters of on-campus on-campus instruction. High school seniors and students now taking classes class-es through SUCCE who have never taken the C.L.E.P. exam and who plan to continue their college work should definitely defin-itely plan to register for the May 6 exam. |
