Show SILVER SHIELD IKESJ1EE Volume of Trade Exceeds That of Any Monday for Several Weeks. Better market conditions prevailed yesterday yes-terday on the local stock exchange than for many Mondays. A large volume of sales, 116,692 shares, with a market valuation val-uation of $29,019-41, -was. made. This trading developed a remarkably healthful tone. Nearly all of the market favorites either rallied to a strong close or stood firm. Silver Shield, with a two-cent assessment assess-ment levied, ran true to form and advanced, ad-vanced, -with the sale of 30,100 shares, el slit points. On the opening, sales were made at 28c and 29c around bnturday s close. With continued selling the price advanced steadily until a closing price of 36&37.c was finally reached. East Crown Point, with a total of 29,000 shares traded in, sold from 6c down to 5'io. Zuma, with 14.500 shares sold, rallied to a close of 29 29 ,:, as compared com-pared with a closing price of 264 27a for Saturday. Emma aiso showed considerable con-siderable improvement in strength, advancing ad-vancing a point, with over 13.000 shares sold, to a close of 11c. Eureka Lilly, with brisk trading, developed a weakness and receded to a close of 284 29c, Eureka Bullion sold at 25c, Iron King hovered around 40c. Lehi Tintic around 15Uo. May Day around 6C and Xaiidriver at Toe. Plutus, with 4200 shares, sold up to 54o and closed a 6263c, an advance of two points.
