Show HOME-MADE "BOOZE" FATAL TO CHICAGOANS (Chicago Tribune Special Service. V CHICAGO. Nov. 24. Home-made whisky, provided with a kick through the addition of wood alvohol. caused the death today of Kred Bores and his son, William, lgnatz t-iventy. a former saloon keeper, who was their host at a "homemade "home-made booze" party, died Sunday. Th ere was a part y Sa t u rday at the Borest home, und father and son drank some of the liquor. Both became ill, and early this morning Wlll.an; died. Hie father was removed to the county hospital, hos-pital, where lie succumbed at 3 o'clock. The police are .nvestlgating. On the floor of t&t bedroom the police found two empty bottles, labeled "Poison "Poi-son wood alcohol medicate J for external exter-nal use only." In a f e w of the bo 1 1 ! es was a sm'al 1 quantity of a brownish liquid. The room smelled heavily of alcohol. The police learned that Fred Bores t and his son wer; invited to the home of Siventy. an ex -saloon keeper, to partake of some home-made whisky which 81-venty 81-venty had mixed. Siveniy died in the county hospital. Borest and his son are believed to have taken homo some of the fatal drink. |
