A new wage and working agreement "was signed late today between the railroad j administration and officials of the Brotherhood of t Maintenance of "Way Employees and railway track laborers. ( Heretofore such maintenance em-plovecs em-plovecs have been paid overtime at prorata pro-rata rates for the ninth and tenth hoar and time and one-half after the tenth hour! Under the agreement laborers iu extra or floating gangs, whose employment employ-ment is seasonal or temporary in character, char-acter, will be paid overtime, at a prorata pro-rata rate for the ninth and tenth hour and time and one-half after the tenth hour, whereas employees holding positions posi-tions not requiring continuous manual labor such as track, bridge and highway high-way crossing watchmen, signalmen at railway non-interlocked crossings, lamp-engine lamp-engine watchmen at isolated points and pumpers, will continue to be paid for their present hours of work ;i monthly rate equal to their present day. |
