Show ROCKY MOUNTAIN OIL PRODUCTION SHOWN Production of crude oil in Rocky Mountain Moun-tain fields in 1918 amounted to lU,5a6,287 barrels, increase of 3,009,586 barrels, or 38 ner cent, over 1917, according to the Boston News Bureau. Wyoming produced pro-duced 12,S9li,59l),287 barrels, 3,617,607 barrels bar-rels more than in 1917. Production of this state during 1918 increased from 83-9,000 barrels in January to 1,171,000 barrels bar-rels in August. It was 1,120,000 barrels in December, showing a net gain for year of 281,000 barrels a month. Operations Opera-tions in Wyoming oil fields, especially in Salt Creek field, are being held up, to a great extent, pending action by congress on oil-land leasing legislation. Wyoming now ranks sixth in oil production pro-duction In tho United States, surpassing both Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
