Wo aro unablo to discovor any valid reason why the Bpecial sessions should not be called for this specitic purpose in easo there are no other pressing matters to be considered. consid-ered. For more than half a century the women of America have been struggling for their political rights, and now that congress has finally submitted the amendment it is the duty of the state executives to get a vote upon it without with-out delay. While there may be two sides to tho question the valid arguments argu-ments are all on tho one to call tho extra sessions in accordance with the demands of tho women, who havo long since become weary of waiting. Some of them havo already entered the political polit-ical iield. That is their blessed privilege. privi-lege. A great majority of them, however, how-ever, will continuo to attend to their family affairs and voto as they think right, regardless of the . efforts of the politicians to tag them at tho outset. But politics should not cut any figure at this time. It is a mero question of righting a great wrong, and the governors gov-ernors of tho various states have it within their power to givo or withhold the ballot from tho women next year.
