Show LJHffiffillP Collegians Win Fourth Contest, S to 7, Before Six Thousand Fans. Special to The Tribune. LOGAN, Aug. 20. Nearly six thousand fans saw Logan defeat the Rexburg club in the fourth game of the scries today at the "Y" park in an intensely interesting game. The collegians won, S to 7, and tied up the standing in the series. Tho next game will be pfayed at Idaho Falls on Friday, August 22. Marty Becks tead was the hero of the game, although some loose generalship caused him to be pulled in the ninth in favor of Manouk, who bad played first base. Becks tead allowed nine hits, hut worked hard, and errors were responsible responsi-ble for all but two runs made off his delivery. Dick Davis started out in great style. I but in the fifth the locals got to him and , collected six runs on three walks, five hits and a sacrifice. In the eighth the home dub put over two more counters on a single, a sacrifice, a hit, a base on balls and an error. In the fifth tho collegians presented Rexburg with three runs. The visitors collected a pair in the sixth, after two men were out, on a double and two singles. sin-gles. Another error in the seventh Jet in a run, tying the score. The locals put the game away on ice in the eighth. Manager Coburn replaced Becks tead with Manouk in the ninth. He walked McNulty and Willett's hit scored the runner, run-ner, a passed ball by Dee having permitted per-mitted the runner to get to second. Hall, hitting for Shupe, struck out, and the game was over. Peterson in left field handled the most difficult chance of the game and averted ! trouble for Beck stead by a great catch. Falek and-Hemmer also gathered in some hard ones. The crowd, which was the largest ever seen in the local park, was beyond the control of the officials and play was hampered ham-pered somewhat.
