Show MINING LITIGATION BROUGHT TO CLOSE After having- been in litigation for over eight years, In which time several' of the interested parties have died, the big mining min-ing suit of the Ripple Mining company against the Montana Gold, Silver, Platinum Plati-num and Tellurium company has been settled through agreement of the parties, says the Butte Miner. The settlement was brought about by the disposal to eastern capitalists of the Ripple group of claims in the Neihart district, and it is expected that the purchasing syndicate will at once begin operations upon the 1 old mines, which have long been closed ; down. The action was the result of a dispute over ore bodies tapped by "both the Tom Hendracks and the Sixteen to One claims. Each company charged tresnass, one asking damages of $50,000 and the other claiming $tl,000 as the value of ore taken out by the other. Extensive Ex-tensive surveys, under court order, were made several years ago and the action was tried in the district court in this city. The case was never settled until made necessary through a deal to sell the Ripple group to an eastern syndicate. |
