Show rail road was built from Salt Lake to Denver. Among the other governors present were J. A. A. Burnquist of Minnesota, Lynn J. Frazier of North Dakota. O. A. Iarrazo'.o of New Mexico, Ben W. Wol-eott Wol-eott of Oregon,, J B. A. Robertson of Oklahoma, R. A. Cooper of youth Carolina, Caro-lina, Peter Norbeck of South Dakota and Robert D. Carey of Wyoming. The banquet was attended by 175 per- sons. The governors of sixteen six-teen states, the guests of the mayor and city commissioners at a banquet at the Hermitage hotel In Ogden canyon tonight, voiced approval of a policy of continuing tho solid and tried Ideas of this govern-' ment and leaving new fads and theories for other countries to experiment with. The session tonight, while more of an evont of pleasure, afforded speakers tho opportunity to urge the continuance of the practices which have built up the Uftited States and developed Us resources. The banquet followed an auto trip through Ogden canyon and a visit to the wells, the city's source of water supply. At the banquet, Mayor T. S. Browning introduced in-troduced Governor Bamberger as the toa stmaater. Governor S. V. Stewart of Montana praised the hospitality of the people of the state and their enterprise in the developing of its resources. He was loud in his p raises of the entertainment they had shown the governors. Introduced as a railroad man and governor, gov-ernor, Governor William C. Sproul of Pennsylvania said that while in Utah he had found out what to do with the former governors. Here, ho said, they put them to work and mako good use of them in the development of the state's resources. All the people of the nation have to do is to plant their feet lirmly upon the ground and hold fast to their faith in tho government, and it will help to make the greatest country in the world, he said. Former Governor Joseph M. Corey of Wyoming urged hanging on to the old things and letting the old world continue with the now fads and theories.
