Show EQUALIZING BOARD MEETS AT CAPITOL Methods of Assessments for the Year Discussed; Coal Land Dispute Seems Possible. 'Having held a meeting: at Price with Carbon and Emery county officials, members mem-bers of the state board of equaliEation vesterrlay returned to the capital. Of the state board there were prespnt at the meeting- James T; Hammond, George Romney, Jr., and Secretary William Bailey.' Methods of assessment for this year were discussed and at tho present time. Secretary Bailey says, there appears to be no danger of a conflict this year over assessment of coal lands similar to that experienced in 1017. The officials who met with the equalization equal-ization board members were. Carbon countv, Commissioners Albert Bryncr and W. O. Hamilton, Assessor Benton Randolph. Treasurer A. Ballinger and Attornev Thomas Foutz: Emery county, Commissioners O. R. Gilispie. Isaac All-red All-red and D. H. Leonard, Treasurer Lewis Guvnon, Assessor Joseph Hanson and Clerk W. G. Peacock. |
