Show EMPLOYMENT BUREAU FLANNED FOR L. D. S. Authorities Take Steps to Provide for Summer Work of Students. The executive committee of the Latter-day Latter-day Saints' university. at its regular meeting yesterday afternoon, decided to launch a movement at the school looking toward guidance of the students in industrial in-dustrial and home work during: the summer sum-mer vacation. Two committees were appointed ap-pointed for the purpose of suggesting plans. One committee, consisting of P. J. Jensen and B. H. Jacobsen. will devise de-vise a questionnaire to he submitted to all the students to asecrtaln what tbe needs of the school are in this respect, and ihe other committee, including Guy C. Wilson. A. S. Kienklc, Mrs. Rachel Taylor and F. T. Fox. Is to determine just what means may be adopted for establishing es-tablishing a students' employment bureau bu-reau and directing the work. If the plan appears feasible, then it is the intention to ask for an appropriation appropri-ation sufficient to cover the expense involved in-volved and also to give credit for the industrial activities engaged in by tbe pupils, according to -Guy C. Wilson, president pres-ident of tho Xj. D. S. The general idea, he says, has already received the approval ap-proval of the authorities of the Mormon church. |
