Show MIC CEiMLL , COifflHIFT EAST Comprehensive Report for 1917 Has Been Issued by Company. ' A report of the work done durrnp; the past year by the Tlntic Central Mining company, and on the condition of the I.roi.erty has been mailed to stockholders hv n. I- Anderbers? of Prove secretary id eeneral manager. The report Bhows r. actlcit In trie ticamiry of .,4l..i3, ?!.-85S ?!.-85S 13 having been expended dnrlnK the Vear lft IT in development ot Iho ptopeity, while the total receipts amounted to but SIS U90.2. Tho work accomplished I (liiiiiis t he year is itemized as is., feet of drifts, 337 feet of raises and eluht y-nine reet of winzes. Willi reference to the work lone in 1117 and the plann for the column tvear, the report savs. m part: in cloning our report (or the year 191t, wo stated that the drift heltn; run on he STO-loot level to the southeast was (or the purpose of prospecting a fissure, which on the level above showed considerable- quartz, and from all Indications was improving with depth. This drtit vas continued until the tiuartz was en-cunternl. en-cunternl. hut the same condition existed nn this level as on the one above, ehovv-ninc ehovv-ninc from two to alx feet of nunrtz, Willi Ucj.caslonal streaks of Rood ore, but In no lllilnee was the ore showing sufficient to 1 insure a shipping fcrade. The quartz, Jrom all appearaih es, was fitrll KOlng (leeper. and after thoroughly prospecting nn this lev-el, work was taken up on the :i02(i-foot level and a drift run to the Houth. Although considerable work has been done, we have not as yet encountered encoun-tered the fissure that from all appcar-nncos appcar-nncos above would extend to this level, fruit in drifting to the south we have en- countered an east and west break, filled 'vith a very pood grade of quartz and vein matter. We are now following this in the hope thai It will intersect or connect con-nect with the fissure in which we had jiirch a good showing above. We are confident con-fident that with continued prospecting on these, levels ore in paying quantities will bo encountered, but should the work now being done fail to bring the de-tslred de-tslred results within the next month or 'two, this drift will he temporarily aban-"'Hloned, aban-"'Hloned, to devote all our time to the lar lower level. (ilC The most important piece of work clone in years was taken up on "March 'w,:i4, 1917, when an agreement was entered I'liuto with the Iron Blossom Consolidated vv lining company, our neighbor to the apwest, whereby their 1700-foot drift has lovtbeen extended into our property, they rrri paying one-half the cost up to our line. VThis drift was run directly under our onitshaft and is now approximately 200 feet iclaht of H. We have encountered three rs. distinct breaks or fissures, all lying east It of the shaft, tiie first two containing a ore little quarts and vein matter and the S third being more in the form of a large le. toreak or cave. Wc are not entirely nio through this as yet and the latest rear re-ar ports from the mine are that conaider-t conaider-t flble quartz and a good grade of lime are me showing in the face. It is our intention to continue tills drift on to tire east, and . we are confident that the resulta will be A, favorable. |
