A handsome and appropriate menu .card has beer, prepared for the occasion, consisting con-sisting of a folder on the face of which 1b a large turkey gobler in colors with tho inscription.- "Thanksgiving Dinner, Thursday, November 28, 1918, Third company, com-pany, United States War Prison Barracks Guard, Fort Douglas, Utah." The insert pages are held to the cover by red. whita and blue ribbon. On the fly lenf is an American- flag in colors, then comes the menu, which includes oyster cocktail, egg ; eclaire soup, green olives, fruit salad, 1 celery, roast young turkey, oyster dressing, dress-ing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, giblet gravy. French peas, cream sweet corn. Knglish plum pudding, dry state sauce, mince pie, pumpkin pump-kin pie, pineapple meringue, chocolate ice cream, assorted cakes, cheese, crackers, ripe fruit, nuts find raisins, coffee, cig-arets", cig-arets", cigars. .The menu also contains a roster of the Third company officers, noncommissioned non-commissioned officers and enlisted men.. |
