Show FORMER SALT LAKER ON WAY TO JAPAN John D. Fecny, Jr., of San Francisco, I formerly of Salt Lake and well known in railroad circles throughout the west, is in the city visiting J. M. Morris on Third South street and. other friends. Mr. Fcehy until three week's ago was assistant assist-ant freight agent under the United railroad rail-road administration at San Francisco and now is on his way to Kobe, Japan, where he will be the managerial representative in the orient of the Baldwin Shipping company. Mr. Feeny resigned his- railroad position posi-tion to accept the place as manager at San Frar.cisco of the Universal Carloading & Distributing company, but gave that up to take his present position. He will act as a pioneer for the Baldwin company in its invasion of the east and will establish es-tablish branch stations in Japan and in China. Many years ago Mr. Feeny began his railroad career on the Denver & Rio Grande load at Salt Lake. Later he became be-came connected with the Western Pacific and when that line was completed into San Francisco went to that city as general gen-eral agent. |
